Click for larger image	Vespa Forever (Book) New! “Vespa Forever” is not an attempt to provide an exhaustive account of Vespa history. This has already been accomplished by a number of books in the large family of Vespa literature. This book sets out to provide insight into the fascinating world of Vespa collector’s items. Back in the 1960ies, the Vespa was not always considered technically superior to its competitors. But, whether there has ever existed a better looking scooter lies in the eye of the beholder. It has often been noted that the Vespa is a work of art; again, this is a matter of opinion. However, the Vespa’s design has one undisputed characteristic - it possesses timelessness, its perennial attractiveness transcending such notions as trendy and old-fashioned. This distinction is not always the case with the accessories inspired by the Vespa, which are indeed subject to the changes of time and whims of taste. Thus, with this book we also hope to present a tour d`horizon across more than 50 years of graphic arts, fashion and style. We have intentionally refrained from listing prices. Many of the objects portrayed are unique and are treasured collector’s items, more often exchanged than paid for. There are no fixed prices. The buyer pays the price he feels it is worth. Meanwhile, Vespa items have become quite an investment. What they should remain, though, are objects to be collected and cherished.
